DMG MORI

We are invited to visit a “hidden giant”: DMG MORI is the worldwide leader in manufacturing of machine tools. If you visit a Swiss machine company, you can almost certainly find a DMG MORI machine tool. Main customers can be found in the watch and medical industry, automotive, aerospace, gas & oil.

On 15 December 2014, DMG MORI opened its new Global Headquarter in Winterthur in a new purpose-built facility.

The Techcenter equipped with 22 machines shows top-notch high-tech turning and milling machines. But the highlight is the additive manufacturing LASERTEC 65 3D that integrates laser deposition welding and milling. The results is in simple terms, metal printing with highest accuracy. Additionally, the energy solutions park – another product of DMG MORI – is generating clean energy in the back of the building and serving the people of Winterthur with high-speed charging for electric cars at no cost.

Dr. Harald Neun, CEO of DMG MORI SEIKI Europe AG, will welcome us and introduce us to the operations of DMG MORI in Winterthur.
