The SJCC Scholarship Fund is supported by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Japan (SCCIJ) and by the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce (SJCC) itself.

Both chambers continue to be the sponsors of the fund with contributions.

Among all sponsors, the Stiftung Mercator Schweiz deserves special recognition. Soon after the founding of our Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce in 1985, Stiftung Mercator Schweiz initiated and helped our Chamber to establish and finance a Scholarship Fund. In 2010, we regretfully had to acknowledge their decision to terminate donations which by then had reached a cumulative total of approx. CHF 2.4 million.

The President of the SJCC, the BOD of the Chamber together with its Scholarship Fund and, above all, our 200 scholarship recipients past and present join me in expressing deep gratitude to Stiftung Mercator Schweiz Foundation for their initiative, understanding and support of our Scholarship Fund. This support enabled the Scholarship Fund to become what it is today!
