The Scholarship Fund of the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce has been created on 1 October 1988. 30 Years later, we will celebrate the ongoing success of this long-term activity of the SJCC.

The fund was established for the purpose of encouraging and supporting young Swiss residents in their efforts to learn more about Japan, its culture, language, social and business environments. Since 1988, 225 male and female scholarship recipients have benefited from this career development program.

This 30th Anniversary is intended to express the gratitude and deep respect of the SJCC to its far-sighted past and current donors, for their continuous and generous donations without which our Scholarship Fund could not operate.

Guest Speaker:

Dr. Felix Moesner went to Japan with a Scholarship of the SJCC in 1990 to study Japanese, followed by a professional training at Toshiba Corporation's Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory in Yokohama. Many scholarship recipients know Felix Moesner from the years 2003-2012 during which he was heading the Science and Technology Office at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo.

Further Details on the Anniversary Event will be announced in April 2018.
