Hitachi ABB Power Grids was launched in the year 2020 when Japan’s Hitachi acquired, for $11bn, a majority share of ABB’s power grids divison. Since October 2021 the company is named Hitachi Energy to “reflect the rapidly evolving energy landscape and the opportunity to create economic, environmental and social value”.
Martin Schumacher, Country Managing Director for Switzerland, Germany, and Austria at Hitachi Energy will talk at this SJCC event about the transformation from ABB’s Power Grids Division to Hitachi Energy.
