As the world is faced with the challenges of potentially catastrophic climate change, advanced economies such as Switzerland and Japan are engaging faster than ever with decarbonization and environmental efforts. Both countries have set a similar target of net-zero emission by 2050, and see sustainable finance as a key to achieving this goal.
In this shifting context, it has become crucial for business organizations to manage both the opportunities and the risks related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. How to interpret the changing regulatory frameworks, and translate new visions into taxonomies that support sustainable ways of life for all? What instruments and technologies can be harnessed to facilitate the transition? How can ESG be leveraged as a driver of business excellence and financial return?
