39th AGM 15 May 2024 with Guest Speaker: Christoph Mäder, Chairman economiesuisse “Stronger cooperation is more necessary than ever!”

economiesuisse is the umbrella organisation for the Swiss business sector (equivalent to Keidanren). It covers 100 trade and industry associations, 20 cantonal chambers of commerce and a broad range of companies. It covers around 100’000 companies from all sectors and all regions in Switzerland, which together employ a total of 2 Mio. people.

Christoph Mäder is the chairman of economiesuisse.
He is a member of the Council of the Swiss National Bank SNB and sits on the boards of several national and international companies, including Baloise Holding and Lonza Group, and is also a member of various advisory boards and holds positions in non-profit organizations. After studying at the University of Basel, Christoph Mäder was admitted to the bar. He joined Sandoz and Novartis as senior legal counsel in 1992 and joined the executive board of the Syngenta Group, where he held various positions until 2018. In addition to his work at Syngenta, he was chairman and member of the board of scienceindustries (the association of chemical, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries) and a member of the board of economiesuisse.
