KONO Taro is a prominent member of the House of Representatives, Japan, for the LDP. He has held several ministerial positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Digital Affairs and Cybersecurity. Additionally, he served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission, Minister for Administrative Affairs and was the country’s Vaccine Czar. Other multiple cabinet portfolios included National Police Organization, Civil Service Reform, Consumer Affairs and Food Safety, Disaster Management. He is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, USA.
