KONO Taro is a prominent member of the House of Representatives in Japan.
He has held several key cabinet positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Defense, and Minister for Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs.
Additionally, he has served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission, and Minister for Administrative Affairs.
His other ministerial portfolios have included the National Police Organization, Civil Service Reform, Consumer Affairs and Food Safety, and Disaster Management.
He is a graduate of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in the USA.
