Programm:
We are a group of researchers specializing in clothing studies. For 17 years, this project has pursued the goal of developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs to pass on “kimono” culture to the next generation and share it with the world.
Within Japan, we have developed experiential educational programs for school students to deepen their understanding of kimono culture. Through these learning experiences, we aim to foster in children an awareness that respects Japan’s kimono culture and encourages its preservation and development.
Furthermore, responding to globalization, we hold workshops at schools and universities overseas, including yukata dressing experiences. Our goal is to promote understanding of Japanese culture among people abroad and contribute to international cultural exchange.
