New Cooperation between SJCC and SCCIJ

Over the last five years, relations between SJCC and SCCIJ (Swiss Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Japan) have been deepening continuously with reciprocal visits and exchanges by Presidents and Board Members alike. There is a strong will on both sides to deepen these exchanges even further considering the very friendly relations and synergy potential. One such area is the SJCC Scholarship Fund.

Importance of educational exchanges between Switzerland and Japan
At the Annual General Assembly of SCCIJ held recently in Tokyo on February 16, 2016, the assembly decided to make a constitutional amendment which would enable SCCIJ to support educational exchanges between Japan and Switzerland in both directions. This change opens the door to realize the first ever cooperation between both Chambers in regards to the SJCC Scholarship Fund. Details will be finalized in the next few weeks. It is already clear now, that scholarship recipients would benefit greatly from such a partnership.
