12th Round Table on Export Economy with Guy Parmelin, President of the Swiss Confederation

The Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce SJCC was pleased to take part in today’s 12th Round Table on Export Economy with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin.

Martin Herb, President of the SJCC joined representatives of business associations, chambers of commerce, cantons, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, economiesuisse, Swissmem, Switzerland Global Enterprise, Swiss Export Risk Insurance SERV, and other key stakeholders for this important exchange on the current geopolitical situation, trade policy developments and the challenges facing Switzerland’s export economy.

In this context, the following priorities remain particularly important to the SJCC:

1. Cross-Border Exchange
Strengthening economic relations between Switzerland and Japan through close cooperation and exchange.

2. Supporting Strong Business Environment
Supporting an open, reliable and innovation-oriented international business environment through constructive dialogue between government, institutions and the private sector, especially in times of geopolitical uncertainty and pressure on international supply chains.
