Dear SJCC Members and Friends

It is with great sadness that the SJCC has received the news that its former Board Member and Chairman of the Scholarship Fund, Paul Dudler, passed away last month.

Paul joined the Chamber and the Scholarship Fund after retiring as Head of Novartis Japan and returning to Switzerland.

His commitment to Swiss-Japanese relations and his great efforts on behalf of the Chamber and the Scholarship Fund were extraordinary. By the time Paul retired from his official role in the Chamber after 15 years, the Scholarship Fund had awarded a total of 175 scholarships for “A Year in Japan”. He liked to call the scholarship recipients the “bridge builders” of tomorrow.

In Paul we lose a kind and respectful friend.
